History and Mission

The District Parent Coordinating Council is the parent voice of the Buffalo Public Schools. Primarily, the DPCC holds the district accountable for realizing its mission of “putting children and families first to ensure high academic achievement for all.”

The DPCC builds a partnership between parents and the district and monitors the implementation of the parent involvement policy.

I am becoming frightened by the amount of racism I am hearing coming from students at my daughters school over this whole mess. It has become a black/white issue and it should be equal education for all. My daughter has stated numerous times to me in the past few weeks since the boycott that if she has done well on test that the black students in her classes have told her the school is only passing her because she is white…..I am terrified this is going to turn into more racial fights like we had back in the 70’s…..We need to make this a united front not a divided front.
